by way of introduction
How do you start these things?
No, seriously.
Before I decided to start up this way of communicating again, I searched the interwebs for my old blogs. I don't find I ever made an introduction post, just started plopping random stuff and things out there with a confidence that someone(s) would give up precious time to consume.
This time I asked first on FB if anyone would want to read. I freely admit that if even one person had said "sure", it would have been enough for this ego to plow ahead with at least this post.
I think, if I can get keep this going, and you dear reader keep engaged, you will learn quickly about who I am. I also imagine most of my readers will be people who already "know" me. But I feel a responsibility to set forth some basics in case you stumble into this space or even knowing me probably should be prepped.
Important vitals
- I cuss. I will probably, maybe, possibly limit that in writing. But I make no promises that you won't find a few fucks sprinkled about. (Tagging first fuck in the blog. And second.)
- I am a queer, middle aged, born female, identifies as both/and...non-binary, (something, something margins), middle-class, white person.
- I got some marginal and I got some privilege.
- Married to Anne.
- 2 cats - Dr John Watson and Lt Dan Hooper
- Multiple nieces and nephews who from here on will be referred to as my nibblets.
- There will be typos. I will not be patient enough to let my in-house editor, Anne, read all my posts before sharing.
What will this space be about?
Great question.
Let's start with
I believe both at the same time - people must care very little and yet a whole lot about what I might think.
But about what do I think
Anything and everything. If you know me, then you know my brain rarely stops spinning. It just goes and goes, even when my eyes close.
This means you might find a smattering of this, a skosh of that, with smear of something layered on-top.
It will mostly be me writing my thoughts from the margins. Think of it like you are reading my novel being written real time and these are the notes I might write to myself or a future reader of the book in margins. Notes about my investigation, interrogation, and existence in this world, this plane, this space.
Thank you
If you are still here, thanks. And thank you to those who encouraged me to try this again.
